CITY AND GUILDS DECORATIVE STAINED GLASS LEVEL TWO.

This excellent course set your skills to a high level and includes a design module, copper foil work, lead work and kiln work. All to your own specification with as much help as you need.

Candidates will be required to produce a portfolio of ten small items, some design work, a copper foil item and a leaded item to a good standard under the direction of the tutor.

Courses comprise 120 hours at 3 hours per week in the studio. The next course starts September 2010.

Suitable for beginners.

CITY AND GUILDS DECORATIVE STAINED GLASS LEVEL THREE.

Another excellent course which should result in some unusual, high quality work. The course is run in two units.

UNIT ONE deals with design. You will be asked to carry out experimental work to develop your design skills. You will also carry out plenty of experimental glass work using the kiln, fusing, kiln carving, painting, slumping. The knowledge gained on unit one can then be used to improve your work on unit two.

UNIT TWO. You will be asked to design and make five stained glass items  using some of the new skills learned in unit one. You will be actively encouraged to fully explore your own ideas for this unit.  

We pride ourselves in allowing you to go your own way.

The course runs over 2 years at 4 hours a week.
